Obama Is A Failure

Yes, I said it. Barrack Obama is a failure in nearly every sense of the word when it comes to the Presidency. Just look at the numbers, which have been on a pretty steady decline after the initial, disgustingly mushy honeymoon. 42% Strongly Disapprove of the President's performance and only 25% Strongly Approve. Lest you think that this nation has suddenly become more conservative, let me point out that these numbers reflect both conservatives who think he's completely blown off the ideas of our founding fathers as well as liberals who think he's not blown them off enough. And months after his socialist health care law was shoved down our throats through every sneaky trick in the books (and even some ones created just for the affair), there's still 58% of the population who favor repealing the law. And while I wouldn't equate the BP oil disaster with the Katrina disaster, most do feel that this is "Obama's Katrina" and his response to it is actually far worse than Bush's. By comparison, Bush was more immediate in his acknowledgment and comment on the problem, but up front Bush stated that he couldn't authorize anything until the governors of the affected states made the request. The governor of Louisiana at the time, Ms. Blanco, sat on her rear end and claimed she had it all under control...until it was obvious even to her that it really wasn't. That's not to say Bush couldn't have done much better. But Obama has cavitated around proclamations of "anger", being in control or various and sundry verbal attacks on related industries. What has been left in the wake has been shallow words and efforts that bubble to the surface and pop with a resound lack of positive effect.

The latest news--unsurprisingly ignored by the lamestream press--is the realization that prominent Keynesian economist and director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University Jeffrey Sachs admitted on MSNBC, when asked twice whether or not he conceded that Obama's stimulus had not worked, "It did fail". Personally, I just don't see how anyone with a reasonable amount of intelligence can actually believe the Keynesian economics could ever work--given that it never has worked in human history.

But if all these efforts, which are declining in popularity almost daily and many of which were in direct contrast to the will of a sizable majority of the populace, were suspect from the beginning and are now all but certain failures, why have Obama, Pelosi and Reid all pushed so hard? Because it was never about improving this nation. It was about power, dependency and the elitist attitude that seems to be innate with those who wholeheartedly subscribe to the socialist mindset. I can draw you parallel after parallel to some the most disastrous examples in history, and so many books written by the very people Obama and company espouse quite publicly. Bill O'Reilly has it correct. This is truly a culture war. As a Christian, I would also argue that this is a kingdom war. And the movers & shakers on both sides absolutely know this, even if the rank and file of either side are clueless. Just read the elitists' books. It's quite clear that in the same breath that they malign believers as backward, under-educated and superstitious, they also recognize that, different from religions that rely on violence or mysticism, Christianity, at its heart, is extremely powerful and influential. They do understand that we DO view this as battle between principalities and powers, that it is absolutely a spiritual war. They know and admit, to a small degree, in their writings that in order to propel their ideology they must smother and diminish Christianity and every virtue that it stands for. Even they know that you cannot serve two masters...and Progressives are just pompous enough to believe they know better than God.

Progressives and their liberalism is a false religion. They believe they are enlightened beyond us and that three things can ultimately help them achieve their goals. Push Christian ideas and values into the recesses, manufacture or exploit every crisis, and get as many people dependent upon them as possible. This always causes a nation to fail, but almost always results in these people getting power. Look throughout history...Russia, Germany, the list goes on.

We must turn the tide. We can turn the tide. But it won't be with the old guard, the self-proclaimed conservatives who squandered the opportunities they had, but rather got drunk on the power. We need the common man, people like Jefferson, Hamilton, Madison, Franklin, Washington, who were all just like us. They had a deep reverence for God, understood His nature and His Word. They had businesses, farms, families...lives. They knew there was a need for a unifying government, but that its hold on states and individuals must be light-handed, and that it best respected ALL individuals by not respecting individuals over each other....just as God is no respecter of persons. There were no "protected classes", and if you needed assistance that's what your peers, the churches, your communities made themselves responsible for. But if you refused to work, you didn't eat. If you needed something you paid for it or you worked for it or through the benevolence of others it was provided to you. It wasn't the responsibility of governments to take care of you...and it still isn't. It is impossible for any government to do this successfully. Obama refuses to see this. He is a failure, and he is perfectly willing to continue paving the road to hell with his good intentions.

Protecting Our Borders

Yes, I'm convinced that the law that Arizona passed that simply enforces federal laws that already exist needed to be passed. They have seen tremendous increases in crime--violent crime in particular--that can be traced back to Mexico. That's one issue. Another is that the ILLEGAL immigrant population in Arizona has been growing steadily and is creating an ever-increasing drain on their public services.

They had to do something. The federal government certainly isn't doing anything. Bush did nothing, Obama has done nothing. Why? Because the feds are scared to death of angering hispanics and losing their votes.

Well, how about this....any hispanic who isn't himself or herself right up in the front of the crowd yelling for secure border should be ashamed! That's right, ashamed. If you followed the law, if you did what was expected and you gained residency or citizenship the correct way, how can you in good conscience stand by and let millions of cheaters, liars and criminals get away with coming here without going through what you had to?
GASP! Cheaters? Yep, they snuck across, often creating false identities, etc. to stay here. They lie about how they got here, where their true citizenship is, etc., just to stay here. They ALL broke the law, which is a criminal act...and a small percentage ARE actually violent criminals.

Most Conservatives know that we MUST do something about the illegal immigration problem. You are mentally lazy if you lump the legal and illegal immigration issues together. But we know that, regardless of what we ultimately decide to do about the MILLIONS of people who broke the law to get here and stay here, we can't do a thing until we PUT IN PLACE SOMETHING THAT ABSOLUTELY PREVENTS PEOPLE FROM COMING HERE WITHOUT PERMISSION. If you are unwilling to solve that issue, you have no credible say in the discussion and you are, by definition, a part of the problem. I would argue that you are complicit in the crime.

One last thing. I am sick and tired of the lazy among you accusing us of being "racist" when two things are OBJECTIVE FACTS. First, hispanics--those from Mexico in particular--are not a race. They are an ethnic group, with more in common with "anglos" than anything. Second, by a massively overwhelming margin, the largest group of violators of our immigration law are people from Mexico. FACTS, people. We didn't make the rules, we didn't decide to count only one group of people over another. It is NOT a prejudicial statement to say most people here illegally are from Mexico. You don't see a flood of Canadians streaming across our borders.

So, what exactly would you propose we do? I get quite incensed every time I hear that Democrat Luis Gutierrez from Illinois speak. He's very much the typical spokesperson for the liberal mindset on this issue. And when you press him for a solution he gives you NOTHING. "We have to address the issue". No duh! BUT WHAT WOULD YOU DO, LUIS, HUH?

I'll tell you exactly what he wants, though he would hate to put it this way. He wants an open border so that people from Mexico can escape the horror that IS living in Mexico and come to the Socialist utopia he and other Progressives are trying to turn this country into. You see, America, in spite of the past couple of years, is still the land of plenty. Luis thinks we can magically sustain this spread-the-wealth juggernaut forever, creating an enticing valhalla for "his people". He thinks they are "entitled". Well, Luis, NOBODY is entitled to come here. So, times are hard in Mexico? Organized drug cartels taking over? Your socialist government not working out so well? At the risk of sounding callous, it sucks to be you. FIX YOUR OWN COUNTRY.

We need to elect representatives who are NOT intellectually lazy, who can ignore the false and ignorant claims that they are somehow anti-hispanic, and who are willing to put a serious wall at our border. Unless you can come up with a BETTER way to prevent people from coming here, I ask you to shut up....you are just blowing smoke and have no justifiable argument. As soon as you block illegal immigration, thus forcing everyone to migrate here LEGALLY, then we can talk about what to do with the law-breakers who are already here.

And you will never convince me to stop calling them law-breakers. I don't care where you came from, if you didn't follow the rules, you broke the law. I may have sympathy for the plight that drove you here, but you still broke the law. Prove you have some integrity...prove you deserve to live here. Own up to it.

In The "Isn't That Interesting" Department...

Bill Mahar, the mental giant that he is , claims that if you're a racist you're probably Republican. I would argue that very statement would qualify him as a racist. It most certainly qualifies him as a fool. Racism isn't a political thing. And, to be completely honest, most of the TRULY racist people I've ever met in my life (which haven't been many) were NOT white. I realize that probably many of you reading this may actually believe that you can only be racist if you're white, that similar behavior by a so-called 'minority' is simply justified reaction to racist treatment.

And you would be wrong.

I will tell you this, though, about my perspective. Once you start behaving like your stereotype you are pretty much inviting the prejudice that goes with it. I'm not saying it's right, but it is what it is. I think it's intellectually and socially lazy to act like your stereotype. That goes as much for the redneck white guy as it does the black gangsta. Of course, each one of these people would defend to the last their choice of clothing, language and behavior and not comprehend that they are, in fact, feeding into their own stereotype. And what happens to those who make a conscientious choice to break from that stereotype? They are often ridiculed and chastised for doing so.

People like Bill Mahar are very truly intellectually lazy. He simply hates and latches on to the first thing he can use that's incendiary. He and Michael Moore are peas in a pod. They are to the liberal and Progressive movement what the KKK and Aryan Brotherhood are to conservatism...disgusting, ego-centric anomalies who fear certain things about themselves so much that they transfer this emotion onto a ready-made subject.
